In November 1971, I was among the first to experience Walt Disney World. Today, I make a career as a Disney author, publisher, host, speaker, and trusted Disney expert. This is my story. In 2003, I was an attorney in New Jersey, and set a personal challenge to write a book about my favorite subject: Walt Disney World. The book grew into a web site, and in 2005, a podcast. As my hobby started to turn into a possible business, I knew if I wanted to make it happen, I had to go “all in” and take a huge leap of faith. I left my practice, sold my house, and moved to Florida with my family to pursue and share my passion for all things Disney . . . and I’ve been doing it full-time ever since.
I am the host/producer of WDW Radio, which was named Best Travel Podcast for 9 consecutive years and ranked #2 overall podcast on iTunes in 2015. I am the author of 102 Ways to Save Money For and At Walt Disney World, two Walt Disney World Trivia Books, and the author/ narrator of seven Audio Tours of Walt Disney World. I am also the founder of the Dream Team Project, which sends children with life-threatening illnesses to Disney World through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, and thanks to the incredible efforts and generosity of others, collectively we have raised more than $250,000 to date.
As a social media pioneer and influencer, I connect with my loyal audiences (whom I call my friends) via a variety of online social networks, and I also host monthly meet-ups in Walt Disney World and around the country. As one of the leading authorities on Disney, podcasting, and new media, I am frequently interviewed by the media for expert perspective and analysis. I have been featured in USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Boston.com, VentureBeat, Bloomberg Business, WPIX 11 TV New York, CBS 46 News Atlanta, AOL.com, Parenting Magazine, Readers’ Digest, Fodors, Robert Scoble, and numerous others.
As a motivational speaker and widely-recognized expert on Disney, I’m eager to share the magic of Disney and the power of social media with businesses and associations. I also bring the “Disney magic” into schools by coming straight into the classroom or through entertaining assembly programs designed to show students how to create an exciting future by following their dreams and passions.
